Release of the Top-Tier Model 'Q Series' HW-Q990C
Introducing 5 Soundbar Models in the Domestic Market in the First Half of the Year
Samsung Electronics launched its 2023 model soundbar new product in the domestic market on the 13th.
The newly released product is the top model of the 'Q Series,' the 'HW-Q990C,' which has significantly enhanced performance compared to previous models through improved sound quality and surround technology. The HW-Q990C features an 11.1.4 channel speaker system and applies 'Dolby Atmos' to provide three-dimensional surround sound. This year, functions such as 'Q Symphony,' 'Space Fit Sound,' and 'Game Mode Pro' have been improved.
Q Symphony is Samsung's proprietary technology that creates optimal surround sound by simultaneously using the speakers installed in both the TV and the soundbar when they are connected. Previously, Q Symphony used the soundbar's own algorithm, but this year it analyzes voice and surround sound using the TV's neural processing unit (NPU) algorithm to provide users with more realistic and immersive sound.
Additionally, the previously enhanced Space Fit Sound function could optimize only from mid to high frequencies, but the new product can optimize even the low frequencies.
When linked with Samsung TV's Gaming Hub, Game Mode Pro, which optimizes the existing gaming environment, now includes a feature that automatically optimizes sound according to game genres such as first-person shooters and racing by receiving information from the Gaming Hub, providing users with a vivid gaming experience.
The product design is presented in Titan Black color, and the retail price is 1.89 million KRW. Samsung Electronics plans to introduce five new soundbar models, including the HW-Q990C, to the domestic market in the first half of the year.
Kim Cheol-gi, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, said, "The 2023 Samsung soundbar has been upgraded with richer sound and a sophisticated design," adding, "Combined with Samsung TVs, it will offer customers the best home entertainment experience."
