Regarding the People Power Party's offensive over the contents of the will of the former secretary to Lee Jae-myung, the former governor of Gyeonggi Province, the Democratic Party of Korea raised its voice, saying, "Stop the despicable politics of criticizing the leader of the main opposition party using an unverified will."
Im Oh-kyung, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, said in a briefing that day, "The bereaved family did not agree to disclose the will," and criticized, "They are using unverified contents as a means of political strife and confusing the public. This is truly an act of impiety."
Spokesperson Im said, "Do not play games with the deceased's last words," adding, "It is disrespectful to the people and the bereaved family."

He said, "The People Power Party should stop fabricating stories and speak based on facts and evidence," and warned, "We urge an end to the despicable politics of using an unverified will as a tool to destroy the opposition party leader."
Earlier, Jang Dong-hyuk, floor spokesperson for the People Power Party, introduced, "The deceased had expressed grievances toward the leader and wrote in the will, 'Please step down from politics now.'" According to media reports, the deceased's will reportedly included phrases such as "Step down from politics now" and "There should be no more sacrifices" directed at Lee, but the will has not yet been disclosed due to opposition from the bereaved family.
In addition, regarding the ruling party's criticism of the voices condemning pro-Japanese submissive diplomacy as "blaming others politics" and "impious politics," spokesperson Im countered, "Is it impiety to sympathize with the people's voices condemning President Yoon Seok-yeol's pro-Japanese submissive diplomacy?"
