Seven Eleven announced on the 12th that it has opened the ‘Food Dream ECO’ Sadang main store, which combines health and eco-friendliness.

Food Dream is Seven Eleven’s unique platform characterized by differentiated food offerings and a spacious, comfortable shopping environment. Compared to regular stores, it features a larger space of about 30 to 40 pyeong (approximately 99 to 132 square meters) with a tasting area, allowing customers to enjoy a variety of unique ready-to-eat foods such as lunch boxes, home meal replacements (HMR), noodles, chicken, Slurpee, and Gulf beverages.

Food Dream ECO adds values of health and environment to its diverse food selections. It has established a dedicated corner for zero-waste daily necessities in collaboration with Donggubat, an eco-friendly social enterprise working with people with developmental disabilities, and offers the Green Fill Box, a vending machine-style refill station for eco-friendly living care products. The store uses eco-friendly finishing materials certified by the Ministry of Environment on its walls and ceiling, and has installed an integrated energy-saving system to control heating and cooling and reduce electricity consumption, thereby improving the store’s energy efficiency.

Food Dream ECO has also significantly expanded its healthy food products. It introduced various vegan products such as Unlimit, a plant-based meat brand from Earthin Company, a specialized alternative meat company, and Plant-Based Earth Diet, a plant-based food brand from Pulmuone. The selection of chicken breast products and protein drinks has been more than doubled, creating a separate protein zone.

A Seven Eleven representative said, “We developed the Food Dream 2.0 platform to provide not only diverse food options but also a healthy lifestyle to the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), who value environmental awareness and conscious consumption while enjoying various foods at convenience stores.”
