"Exhibit Your Creative Artworks at Samcheonggak Chwihandang"

Open Call for Exhibition Venue Renters

Samcheonggak (3 Daesagwan-ro, Seongbuk-gu), Seoul's representative traditional cultural site where nature and hanok harmonize, announced on the 12th that it will recruit applicants wishing to exhibit their works at the citizen-open space 'Chwihandang' from tomorrow until the 22nd.

Samcheonggak reopened in June last year after a full renewal for the first time in 50 years. The outdated facilities were improved, and the citizen-open space was greatly expanded to enhance accessibility for citizens.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government aims to make 'Samcheonggak Chwihandang' a cultural and artistic landmark where citizens can freely visit and enjoy various exhibitions year-round. Accordingly, applications for the first half of the year are being accepted from innovative and promising individual artists and art organizations.

Exhibition genres include painting (Oriental painting, Western painting, folk painting, pen drawing, etc.), crafts (ceramics, embroidery, wood/metal·glass crafts, costumes, etc.), photography, and video, limited to the artist's original works. Additionally, the works must meet criteria such as ▲ not damaging or distorting the public nature and dignity of Chwihandang, ▲ not interfering with the safety management of the building and its facilities, and ▲ not causing inconvenience to residents and visitors due to noise, disturbance, or agitation.

We look forward to many artists who want to showcase their artistry in this beautiful hanok to apply for exhibition space.”
