Assemblyman Lee Gae-ho Appointed as Head of the 22nd General Election Nomination System Task Force

Collecting Internal and External Opinions Until the 10th of Next Month

National Assembly member Lee Gae-ho (Jeonnam Damyang, Hampyeong, Yeonggwang, Jangseong) has been appointed as the head of the “2024 General Election Nomination System Task Force (TF)” to establish the nomination system for the 22nd general election of the Democratic Party of Korea.


The Democratic Party’s Nomination System TF will be fully operational starting next week. By April 10, one year before the 22nd general election, it plans to gather various opinions from both inside and outside the party regarding the nomination system and finalize the review through a resolution by the Supreme Council.

The newly formed general election TF consists of 11 members including the head, Assemblyman Lee Gae-ho, Deputy Head Jung Tae-ho, Director of the Democratic Research Institute, as well as Assemblymen Maeng Seong-gyu, Moon Jin-seok, Song Ok-joo, Jo Seung-rae, Go Young-in, Kim Young-bae, Lee Hae-sik, Lee So-young, and Bae Jae-jung, Chairman of the Busan Sasang District Committee.


Assemblyman Lee stated, “The nomination principle for victory in next year’s general election is to select candidates with competitiveness based on the Democratic Party’s identity,” adding, “By establishing a fair and transparent nomination system that reflects the current era through gathering diverse opinions inside and outside the party based on the system nominations established by the Democratic Party, we will lay the foundation for winning the general election and regime change.”
