Owen Food Chef Aechan Co., Ltd. Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for 4th Factory Construction

The groundbreaking ceremony for Owen Food Chef Aechan Co., Ltd.'s 4th factory construction was held at 11 a.m. on March 7 in Panam-dong, Dong-gu.

The ceremony proceeded in the order of opening declaration, national anthem, introduction of guests, construction overview report, commemorative and congratulatory speeches, tape-cutting ceremony, groundbreaking ceremony, and closing declaration.

The construction overview report was presented by Kim Young-bae, site manager of the contractor Hwanin General Construction Co., Ltd., while the commemorative speech was given by Park Woo-yeon, CEO of Chef Aechan. Congratulatory speeches were delivered by Lee Seok-bong, Deputy Mayor of Economy, Park Hee-jo, Mayor of Dong-gu, Park Young-soon, Chairperson of Dong-gu Council, and Yoon Ki-sik, aide to National Assembly member Jang Cheol-min.

Park Woo-yeon, CEO of Chef Aechan, stated, “Chef Aechan, which started with the sale of six products at the beginning of its establishment, has now become a small and medium venture company,” adding, “We will lead the creation of jobs for the residents of Dong-gu and grow into a ‘company that grows together with the residents of Dong-gu’ and a ‘company representing Daejeon and Dong-gu,’ focusing on the 4th factory and the local community.”

He also expressed a strong ambition, saying, “We will carry out our business to achieve the goal of 100 billion KRW in annual sales by 2026.”

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Park Hee-jo, Mayor of Dong-gu, Daejeon; Park Young-soon, Chairperson of Dong-gu Council, Daejeon; Lee Dong-yeol, Head of Hana Bank Daejeon-Sejong-Chungnam Branch; representatives of Chef Aechan’s partner companies; representatives of Panam residents; popular YouTubers; and company executives and employees.

Chef Aechan’s 4th factory is planned to be built near Panam IC in Dong-gu, Daejeon, with a total floor area of 2,739.95㎡ (828 pyeong), consisting of one basement floor and four above-ground floors. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-March and be completed by early next year. The contractor is Hwanin General Construction Co., Ltd., and the design and supervision are handled by Hyewon Architecture Office Co., Ltd.
