Kidsrara is a name combining 'Kids' and the pure Korean word 'rara,' meaning 'a joyful and enjoyable life.' Established in 2012 to promote the economy of closed mine areas, it is a joint-stock company jointly invested by the Korea Mine Reclamation Corporation with 25 billion KRW, Kangwon Land with 20 billion KRW, and Hwasun-gun, which provided land worth approximately 20.5 billion KRW.

The theme park spans a total floor area of 8,128㎡ (about 2,459 pyeong) with one basement floor and two above-ground floors. It features facilities for children such as a children's job experience center, an infant and toddler experience center, a food court, an orientation hall, and a lawn plaza.

Inside the Kidsrara children's job experience center, there is also the 'High1 Travel Agency' job experience center, where visitors can learn about the southern Kangwon closed mine areas and plan their own trips. High1 Resort is conducting joint marketing by offering discounts to visitors of Kidsrara and the High1 Travel Agency experience center when they use High1 Resort accommodations and facilities.
