Gyeongnam Bank Conducts 'Expert Mentoring for Youth Preparing for Independence'

Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch Also Participates Jointly

BNK Gyeongnam Bank jointly supports the ‘Expert Mentoring Program’ organized by the Gyeongsangnam-do Independent Support Agency in collaboration with the Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch.


The expert mentoring program provides emotional and professional mentoring to youth preparing for independence after leaving child care facilities, group homes, or foster care.

Gyeongnam Bank Conducts 'Expert Mentoring for Youth Preparing for Independence' BNK Gyeongnam Bank jointly supports the 'Expert Mentoring Program' organized by the Gyeongsangnam-do Self-Reliance Support Agency in collaboration with the Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch.

From March to November, BNK Gyeongnam Bank and the Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch will regularly meet with matched youth preparing for independence over approximately eight months, closely providing financial knowledge and experience necessary for social life and independence.


Kim Yang-sook, Executive Director in charge of Financial Consumer Protection at BNK Gyeongnam Bank, said, “BNK Gyeongnam Bank and financial experts will actively step forward to help local youth preparing for independence stand confidently as members of our society.”


Park Jung-soo, Director of the Financial Supervisory Service Gyeongnam Branch, stated, “All employees of the Gyeongnam Branch have participated as mentors to help youth preparing for independence settle well in society and make rational decisions. We will actively support financial education and more.”


Kim Sung-min, Director of the Gyeongsangnam-do Independent Support Agency, said, “We are supporting youth preparing for independence in the Gyeongnam region to settle stably in society and will provide good opportunities through more diverse programs in the future. We hope for much interest and love from local residents.”


Earlier, BNK Gyeongnam Bank jointly held the ‘Donggeul Donggeul Financial Class’ four times last month with the Gyeongsangnam-do Independent Support Agency.


The Donggeul Donggeul Financial Class is a program where vulnerable youth, such as those who have left child welfare facilities and students from special schools, can learn practical finance by receiving financial education and completing experiential tasks to help them adapt smoothly to society.
