KT Outside Director Candidate Lim Seung-tae Resigns Two Days After Appointment

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] Lim Seung-tae, a legal advisor at the law firm Hwawoo who was nominated as an outside director candidate for KT, announced his resignation on the 10th.

It is known that Lim conveyed this intention to the KT board of directors on the morning of the same day. This came just two days after he was nominated as an outside director candidate. Industry insiders believe that Lim, who was also nominated as the CEO of KDB Life Insurance, made this decision to focus on that role.

Earlier, on the 8th, KT announced that it had proposed an agenda to appoint four outside directors, including Lim, at the regular shareholders' meeting scheduled for the 31st. Among them, Kang Chung-gu, Yeo Eun-jung, and Pyo Hyun-myung are current outside directors of KT, excluding Lim.
