Education System and Immigration Related to International Students
The Office of International Affairs at Gyeongnam National University conducted the "2023 Academic Year Education on Understanding Korean Laws and Sexual Violence Prevention for International Students."
The training, held on the 7th, invited the Masan Jungbu Police Station and the on-campus Human Rights Center to provide basic legal education necessary for the safe life of international students in Korea, along with sexual violence prevention education.
On this day, a total of 234 international students affiliated with undergraduate programs attended, receiving various education on student life, educational systems, as well as immigration and residency-related matters.

Following this, the Masan Jungbu Police Station and the Human Rights Center conducted ▲sexual violence prevention education ▲violence prevention education including sexual harassment, prostitution, and domestic violence ▲basic legal order education related to daily life in Korea.
The Office of International Affairs at Gyeongnam National University plans to provide the same education to a total of 160 students, including 133 graduate students and 27 language program students, on the 21st.
Hong Seon-yeong, Director of the Office of International Affairs, said, "We thank the officials from Masan Jungbu Police Station and the Human Rights Center for conducting the basic legal education for international students," and added, "We will do our best to support all international students admitted to Gyeongnam National University to live safely in Korea and grow into global talents."
Gyeongnam National University has been recognized as an "Education Internationalization Competency Certified University" by the Ministry of Education, awarded to universities with excellent capabilities in attracting and managing international students. It has been listed for nine consecutive years, the first in the province, gaining a reputation as an outstanding university in the region for international student recruitment and management.
