On the 3rd, Kumho Petrochemical Group announced on the 8th that its affiliates, Kumho Petrochemical and Kumho P&B Chemical, received the ‘High Taxpayer’s Tower’ award at the ‘57th Taxpayer’s Day’ event held at the COEX Auditorium in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The ‘High Taxpayer’s Tower’ is awarded to companies whose total annual corporate tax and special rural tax payments have increased by more than 100 billion KRW compared to their previous highest tax payment amount.
Kumho Petrochemical was awarded the ‘300 billion KRW Taxpayer’s Tower’, and Kumho P&B Chemical received the ‘200 billion KRW Taxpayer’s Tower’. Baek Jong-hoon, CEO of Kumho Petrochemical, and Shin Woo-sung, CEO of Kumho P&B Chemical, accepted the awards on behalf of their respective companies.

Kumho Petrochemical maintained solid performance in 2021 and 2022, with its main products centered around NB latex performing well across the board. According to the company, Kumho P&B Chemical’s strong results in products such as BPA and epoxy were the reasons behind its selection.
Regarding the simultaneous selection of two affiliates within the group, Park Chan-gu, Chairman of Kumho Petrochemical Group, stated, “We will continue to focus diligently on our core business to generate results and strive to contribute to social returns through sincere tax payments. We will do our best to become a model company in the industry.”
