Customized Support for Promising SMEs
Consulting, Technical Support, and Marketing Services
The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 8th that it is recruiting participating companies for the '2023 Small and Medium Enterprise Innovation Voucher Project' to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises.
The Small and Medium Enterprise Innovation Voucher is a project designed to support management innovation for manufacturing SMEs. It provides consulting, technical support, and marketing services in a customized package format to small manufacturing enterprises with an average annual sales of 12 billion KRW or less over three years.
This year's budget is set at a total of 55.8 billion KRW. The first recruitment this time consists of three tracks: general vouchers, carbon-neutral management innovation vouchers, and re-start consulting vouchers. In particular, this year, in addition to supporting the carbon-neutral management innovation vouchers for building low-carbon management systems for SMEs, a new 'Green Technology Innovation Voucher' track has been introduced in the second half of the year to focus on supporting companies engaged in eco-friendly technologies and industries.
For the re-start consulting voucher, companies in management crisis are proactively identified through public-private cooperation. The detailed support contents have also been diversified to provide customized support according to the company's restructuring method. First, through career guidance consulting, companies that need early entry into rehabilitation are selected, followed by financial analysis and linked support until rehabilitation approval. When banks discover and recommend workout target companies, SBC newly established 'workout consulting' to support financial due diligence and self-rescue plan establishment.
ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) consulting, which was newly established last year, will be expanded and operated as the 'ESG Management Innovation Voucher,' and will be recruited in the second announcement along with the Green Technology Innovation Voucher.
Kim Hak-do, Chairman of SBC, said, "Through last year's Innovation Voucher Project, we laid the foundation for strengthening the management innovation capabilities of SMEs as well as for a successful transition to ESG management," adding, "Going forward, SBC will actively support small and venture businesses on the front lines so that they can proactively respond to global environmental changes and acquire the capability to overcome management crises."
