Checking the Maintenance Status of Agricultural Machinery Ahead of the Busy Farming Season

Lee Sang-geun, the mayor of Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, visited the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office within the Agricultural Technology Center on the 7th, ahead of the full-scale farming season, to inspect the facility status.

On this day, Mayor Lee carefully checked the maintenance status of agricultural machinery and the facilities, and assessed the demand for machinery rental, ensuring that farmers can conveniently use the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office.

Sang-geun Lee, Governor of Goseong County, Gyeongnam, visited the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office within the Agricultural Technology Center to inspect the facility status.

Park Tae-su, Director of Agricultural Policy, who accompanied the visit, said, “The Goseong-gun Agricultural Machinery Rental Office has a main office and two branches, and holds 801 units of 71 types of agricultural machinery. Last year, 7,033 farms rented machinery, showing great response from farmers.”

He added, “In particular, to assist farmers who have difficulties transporting machinery, we operate a parcel delivery service at an affordable price, and the number of users is increasing every year.”

Mayor Lee instructed, “As the use by farmers is increasing, please do your best in operating the rental office.”

On this day, Mayor Lee visited not only the main office within the Agricultural Technology Center but also the branches in Hail and Yeong-o myeon, spending time talking with farmers using the Agricultural Machinery Rental Office, listening to their difficulties, and gathering opinions on revitalizing the rental office.

Mayor Lee said, “This inspection was very meaningful as I was able to visit farmers directly and hear various opinions. I will carefully ensure that residents can use rental agricultural machinery more easily and conveniently.”
