Shilla Vocational Rehabilitation Facility, operated under the Shilla University Foundation Park Young-hak Academy, received the highest A grade in the "National Evaluation of Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities for Persons with Disabilities" conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
This evaluation assessed 412 vocational rehabilitation facilities nationwide across six areas: ▲Facility and Environment ▲Financial and Organizational Management ▲Programs and Services ▲User Rights ▲Community Relations ▲Facility Operations, with grades ranging from A (highest) to F (lowest). Shilla Vocational Rehabilitation Facility received an A grade in all areas.
Notably, in the 2019 evaluation, Shilla Vocational Rehabilitation Facility was ranked 2nd nationwide for its excellent program, the scientific edutainment project "Eureka" for adults with disabilities. In 2022, it received the Innovation Award for its excellent program "Today’s Flower (花) Season 3: Penetration," a vocational rehabilitation project for persons with disabilities using flowers.
Additionally, it is the only facility in the entire Yeongnam and Honam regions certified by the Ministry of Health and Welfare for producing goods by persons with severe disabilities focused on horticulture, and all profits generated are used entirely to support the independence of disabled workers.
Shilla Vocational Rehabilitation Facility and the Department of Social Welfare at Shilla University jointly operate innovative programs and support employment linkage to enhance professional social welfare capabilities for vocational rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. This collaboration is recognized as an exemplary industry-academia cooperation model for the development of disability welfare in the local community.
