Midas IT, the world's No.1 company in the construction software (SW) sector, announced that it participated in the policy coordination meeting of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) held from February 21 to 22 at the Princesa Garden Island Resort in Palawan, Philippines.
Midas IT was the only Korean company invited and was reportedly the sole software company worldwide to receive an invitation.
About 500 high-ranking officials, including the newly appointed representative Danilo Balisi, attended this policy coordination meeting. As an official sponsor, Midas IT delivered a congratulatory speech and presented its key construction software products, ‘Civil’ and ‘Gen’.
The DPWH policy coordination meeting is an event where major issues are discussed through presentations by key figures and policy direction announcements, with the top 10 global companies invited. Following contracts worth approximately 600 million KRW and 500 million KRW in 2022 and this year respectively, Midas IT has established itself as a major partner and sponsor of DPWH, leading to this special invitation.
Yoon Young-woong, a Midas IT professional in charge of Philippine government projects, stated, “Midas IT is actively leading the distribution of its products not only to government agencies and private companies in the Philippines but also to universities. Over the past two years, we have supplied Midas IT products to more than 40 new universities in the Philippines and engaged with 41 out of 205 engineering universities, securing the No.1 market share in the Philippine university market.” He added, “Our goal is to nurture world-class future engineering talent in the Philippines with Midas products and contribute to the development and expansion of Philippine infrastructure through Midas IT products.”
Meanwhile, Midas IT is renowned for applying its engineering software to iconic projects such as the 160-story world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in the UAE, the Beijing Olympic Main Stadium in China, and the Sutong Bridge, the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge in China.
