Selected as an Exemplary Taxpayer by LIG Nex1, Awarded the Minister of Strategy and Finance Commendation

57th Taxpayer's Day 'Faithful Payment' Evaluation

Third Commendation Following 2009 and 2017

LIG Nex1 was selected as an exemplary taxpayer and received a commendation from the Minister of Strategy and Finance at the 57th Taxpayer's Day ceremony held on the 3rd.

At the ceremony held at the Giheung Tax Office of the Central Regional Tax Office, Park Seong-mu, head of the Giheung Tax Office, and others attended and presented the commendation to Hong Gil-jun, Head of Management Division at LIG Nex1.

LIG Nex1 received the ministerial commendation for the third time, following 2009 and 2017, and in 2015, it was certified as a diligent local tax payer by the Governor of Gyeonggi Province.

An exemplary taxpayer refers to a corporation or individual who faithfully fulfills their tax obligations and contributes to national finances. Those selected as exemplary taxpayers receive preferential benefits such as exemption from tax audits and tax payment guarantees. For this reason, the National Tax Service selects exemplary taxpayers through a strict process.

Park Seong-mu, head of the Giheung Tax Office, explained the background for selecting LIG Nex1 as an exemplary taxpayer: “Since its establishment, the company has contributed to public safety and self-reliant national defense, faithfully paid taxes through sound business activities, thereby contributing to national finances and economic development, and has greatly contributed to social responsibility through regional coexistence and support for marginalized groups.”

Kim Ji-chan, CEO of LIG Nex1, introduced the company by saying, “Founded in 1976, we have been a solid defense industry specialist representing the Republic of Korea, contributing to public safety and self-reliant national defense,” and added, “We are pleased to be recognized for actively cooperating with tax administration through diligent tax payment and contributing to the nation.”
