KB Securities Launches Weekly Trading Service for U.S. Stocks

KB Securities announced on the 6th that it will launch a US stock daytime trading service to enhance customers' access to US stock trading.

US stock daytime trading is a service that allows trading before the regular market hours through the US Alternative Trading System (ATS). Most stocks traded on the US regular exchanges can be traded via KB Securities' HTS ‘H-able’, MTS ‘M-able’, and ‘M-able mini’, and telephone orders are also available through the 24-hour overseas stock desk.

The US stock daytime trading service hours at KB Securities are from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM Korea Standard Time, allowing KB Securities customers to trade US stocks for a total of 22 hours and 30 minutes per day (21 hours and 30 minutes during daylight saving time). Specifically, this includes pre-market (6:00 PM to 11:30 PM), regular market (11:30 PM to 6:00 AM the next day), and after-market (6:00 AM to 10:00 AM the next day) daytime trading hours.

KB Securities provides real-time daytime trading quotes free of charge through the ATS regardless of whether customers have subscribed to the existing real-time quote service. When using KB Securities’ ‘Global One Market’ service, customers can trade in Korean won without foreign exchange fees.

To celebrate the launch of the service, KB Securities will hold a US stock daytime trading event until April 30. Participation in the event is mandatory, and all individual customers who trade US stocks for more than 100,000 KRW during the daytime trading hours from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM (4:30 PM during daylight saving time) will receive a 10,000 KRW overseas stock coupon. For trades exceeding 1,000,000 KRW, additional overseas stock coupons of 10,000 KRW (300 winners), 20,000 KRW (200 winners), and 30,000 KRW (100 winners) will be provided through a lottery according to the conditions.

Lee Hong-gu, Head of WM Sales Division, said, “The US stock daytime trading service is expected to enable quicker responses to US companies’ earnings announcements and news,” adding, “KB Securities will continue to develop various services to improve customer trading convenience and accessibility.”
