Based on CCTV footage and other evidence, the police urgently arrested suspect Mr. A at his residence about 10 hours after the fire at the market.

Mr. A is suspected of setting fire to five locations, including a dish store and a small cargo truck, around Hyundai Market in Songnim-dong, Dong-gu, Incheon, for about 10 minutes starting at 11:38 p.m. the previous day. The Incheon Fire Headquarters completely extinguished the fire after about 2 hours and 50 minutes.

There were no casualties from the fire, but 55 stores were burned.

When he was arrested at his home, he was heavily intoxicated. He denied the charges, saying, "I don't remember setting fire to the market. I don't remember how I got home," but admitted to the arson after continued questioning based on CCTV footage.

Nevertheless, he did not reveal the reason for the arson, saying, "I don't know why I set the fire because I was drunk."
