Seocho-gu to Launch Customized ‘Seocho Contract Notifier’ SMS Service Covering All Public Contract Processes Starting from the 20th of This Month
Detailed Guidance on All Five Contract Stages, Required Documents, and Necessary Information... Expected to Enhance Speed, Accuracy, and Efficiency
Includes Notifications on Contract Signing, Submission Documents for Construction Start Report, Completion Documents, Payment Claims, and Payment Dates
Seocho-gu (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) will start the ‘Seocho Contract Notifier’ SMS service from the 20th of this month, which sends essential information via text messages to contracting companies at each major stage of contracts made with the district.
With this new service, contracting companies will receive real-time SMS notifications containing all necessary information such as procedures and required documents at every stage from contract signing to payment. This aims to improve administrative efficiency and increase satisfaction among companies.
Previously, contract-related information was provided via email or phone by individual contract officers, which sometimes led to missing information or companies having to contact multiple times to check contract progress. Especially, companies new to public institution contracts often faced difficulties submitting related documents from the initial stages.
The ‘Contract Notifier’ SMS service utilizes the automatic SMS notification feature of the ‘Contract Information Management System’ introduced this year.
SMS notifications are sent across all five stages of the contract process. First, a contract signing notification is sent, followed by guidance on submission documents at the construction start report stage (such as the construction start report and planned progress schedule), reminders 1-2 days before the expected completion date along with completion document instructions, notifications on payment claims and required documents (such as invoices and electronic tax invoice issuance), and finally payment date notifications. Companies wishing to receive the SMS service must submit an application form for the Seocho-gu contract SMS notification service.
The number of contracts for construction, services, and goods procurement in the district reached 2,236 last year, ranking among the top in Seoul’s autonomous districts. Through this SMS service, it is expected that contract progress will be communicated quickly and accurately, enabling smoother contract execution for companies.
Seocho-gu Mayor Jeon Seong-su stated, “We hope this ‘Contract Notifier’ SMS service will assist many companies that have experienced difficulties during the contract process,” and added, “We will continue to strive to provide transparent and efficient administrative services.”
