Messe Frankfurt is located in Frankfurt, the center of Germany's economic industry, and is a mega exhibition center with an indoor exhibition area of 400,000㎡, an outdoor exhibition area of 59,500㎡, 11 exhibition halls, and a congress center.
It is the venue for world-renowned exhibitions such as the global lighting and sound industry exhibition 'pro light + sound,' the world's largest book and knowledge information content exchange event 'Frankfurt Book Fair,' the 'Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA),' and the stationery and office equipment fair 'Paperworld.'
Mayor Lee toured the Messe Frankfurt exhibition center and discussed with officials ways to secure KINTEX's international competitiveness after the construction of the third exhibition center.
He stated, "We will gather the capacity to independently host international exhibitions suitable for the scale of the large exhibition center upon the completion of KINTEX Exhibition Center 3." He is determined to elevate KINTEX, which has an exhibition area of 178,566㎡, into the world's top 25 large exhibition centers.

Mayor Lee visited the KOTRA Frankfurt Trade Center and heard experiences and advice from representatives of domestic companies that have entered Europe regarding the difficulties faced by early overseas expansion companies and the support needed.
Consul General Kyungseok Ko stated, "Global German companies with top-notch technology are attempting to enter the diversifying Asian market."
In response, Mayor Lee said, "Goyang City, with its excellent geographical location and accessibility, has many young talents with high growth potential and is a city favorable for business," adding, "If designated as an economic free zone, I hope German and European companies wishing to expand overseas will come to Goyang to grow and coexist together."
Mayor Lee departed on the 26th of last month for a 7-day, 5-night trip to Spain and Germany to attract outstanding overseas companies and is scheduled to return on the 5th.
