Launching Meta Chicor through Platform ZEP
Targeting 1020 Generation Emphasizing Fun and Unique Experiences
Shinsegae Department Store's beauty edit shop Chicor announced on the 5th that it will launch 'Meta Chicor.'
Meta Chicor is a representation of the Chicor Gangnam store implemented on the metaverse (virtual space) platform ZEP. The product lineup and interior were made identical. Themed spaces such as the central plaza, game zone, and Only Chicor zone were created to enable purchasing Chicor products and obtaining discount coupons through games starting in March. It can be accessed via the Chicor.com website and the Chicor mobile application (app).
Shinsegae Chicor said Meta Chicor was created targeting the digitally savvy 1020 generation. Last year, Chicor.com's sales grew by 30%, with customers in their 20s and 30s accounting for more than half of total sales. Meta Chicor, which underwent testing in January, was also used by more than 500,000 customers in their 20s and 30s familiar with online platforms over the course of a month.
From March, Meta Chicor, which will operate continuously, will showcase about 100 representative popular products from over 30 brands including NARS and MAC. At the central plaza, visitors can explore popular brand products in skincare, makeup, hair & body, and perfumes available at Chicor's offline stores. In the game zone, a 100% winning lottery game will be held from the 8th to the 14th. Through the lottery game, various discount coupons can be obtained ranging from overseas luxury brands to domestic brands. The game zone is accessible only through the Chicor mobile app.
The Only Chicor zone exhibits various products from Onoma, a skincare brand created by Shinsegae Department Store, and Chicor Collection, a beauty brand made by Chicor. It introduces a diverse collection from recently launched new products to best-selling popular items, allowing direct purchase through provided links.
