[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The Department of Health Management at Dongduk Women's University announced on the 3rd that it obtained accreditation as a Health Information Management Education Institution from the Korea Health and Medical Information Management Education Evaluation Institute in February. This is the first accreditation among four-year universities located in Seoul.
From now on, students entering the Department of Health Management at Dongduk Women's University will be eligible to take the national exam for Health Information Manager upon completing the required major courses.

In addition, they classify, verify, maintain, and manage records and information related to medical care and health guidance at medical institutions.
The Department of Health Management fully satisfied 100% of all five evaluation areas and 52 evaluation elements of the Health Information Management education program, achieving final accreditation with excellent results.
Professor Park Hye-jin, head of the program at Dongduk Women's University’s Department of Health Management, said, "Achieving accreditation with excellent results is the outcome of the entire faculty and students working together with one heart," adding, "We will strive to nurture professionals in health information management through continuous improvement of education quality."
