The Chinese government has informed airlines that it will no longer conduct post-arrival polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests for travelers arriving from Korea starting from the 3rd.
According to sources from the government and the airline industry on the 3rd, the Civil Aviation Administration of China recently communicated this policy to airlines operating routes between Korea and China, requesting that passengers be notified during check-in. This decision appears to follow the Korean government's abolition of post-arrival PCR testing for travelers from China, which had been in effect since January 2nd, and was discontinued on the 1st.
However, the requirement to submit a negative PCR test certificate conducted within 48 hours prior to departure to China remains in place. China also requires this from travelers arriving from countries other than Korea.
