Additionally, SK Gas will utilize the shared data by linking and analyzing it with gas facility location information managed on its platform (wego) to prevent and respond to disasters.

The Korea Gas Safety Corporation plans to support the use of government-held data in the private gas sector by expanding collaboration so that other gas supply companies can also use disaster safety data for safety management.

Kim Seong-ho, Director of the Disaster Safety Management Headquarters at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, stated, “Sharing important data directly related to the safety of the people between the government and the private sector is a crucial foundation for ‘scientific disaster management,’ emphasized in the ‘Comprehensive Plan for National Safety System Reform.’” He added, “Going forward, we will actively open the data through the ‘Disaster Safety Data Sharing Platform’ so that citizens and companies can easily obtain and utilize disaster safety data.”
