Professor Cho Chi-heum (60, Obstetrics and Gynecology) was inaugurated as the 22nd Vice President for Medical Affairs of Keimyung University and Director of Dongsan Medical Center, Dongsan Medical Center announced on the 3rd.
The newly appointed Director Cho graduated from Keimyung University School of Medicine in 1987 and has served as Director of Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital, Head of the COVID-19 Regional Hub Hospital Emergency Response Headquarters, Deputy Head of the Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center Opening Preparation Team, Director of Planning and Information, and Director of the Cancer Center.
He has also held external positions such as President of the Korean Society of Obstetric and Gynecologic Robotic Surgery, President of the Korean Gynecologic Oncology Research Society, and Medical Director of Daegu City. Currently, he is serving as President of the Asian Society of Gynecologic Robotic Surgery and President of the Korean Uterine Fibroids Research Society.
Director Cho said, “Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center has grown together with the local community for 124 years based on a spirit of new challenges and advanced medical skills. I am grateful to God for entrusting me with the position of Director of Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center and consider it a great honor,” adding, “I will do my best to continuously nurture excellent faculty with the best medical technology and actively develop the capabilities of the staff to become a medical center that provides warm healing and inspiration to patients.”
