The defense system known as the Active Protection System (APS) is considered an advanced survival equipment for combat vehicles. It actively neutralizes threats before armored vehicles such as tanks and armored personnel carriers are attacked by anti-tank rockets or missiles, thereby preventing the attack.
Kim Gyu-baek, head of Hanwha Systems' C4I and Ground Systems Business Division, said, “As the battlefield expands, the importance of active protection systems for enhancing the survivability and combat capability of combat vehicles is increasing.” “We will develop a business model based on core active protection system technologies that can enter not only the domestic market but also overseas markets, aiming to increase our global market share.”
