Ulsan Economic Free Zone Also Becomes Nation's First to Integrate 'Building and Housing' Reviews

Implementation of Integrated Review in Ulsan City, Reducing Period by 3 Months

The Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority is initiating an integrated review for the construction and housing sectors. The integrated review committee, which will be implemented starting in March, is the first of its kind among free economic zones nationwide.

'Integrated review' is a system that consolidates individual assessments related to urban planning, transportation, construction, and landscape for construction and housing projects subject to the Housing Act and the Building Act before granting permits.

The Construction and Housing Integrated Review Committee will be composed of 15 to 25 members, including at least five members from each relevant committee (urban planning, transportation, construction, landscape) whenever review items arise.

He also added, “Through gathering opinions from business operators and other stakeholders, we will eliminate unnecessary regulations and create a Free Economic Zone that is conducive to business management by ensuring prompt handling of civil complaints.”
