Sancheong Expo Appoints Actor Jeon Gwang-ryeol as Ambassador

The Organizing Committee of the World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo appointed Jeon Gwang-ryeol, the protagonist of the drama "Heo Jun," which gained national love by creating popular phrases such as "Line up," as the promotional ambassador for the Sancheong Expo.

The Expo Organizing Committee selected actor Jeon Gwang-ryeol as the promotional ambassador because he is highly recognized by the public as the lead actor of the drama "Heo Jun," which recorded the highest viewership rating (64%) among historical dramas, and because he best fits the theme of the Sancheong Expo commemorating the 410th anniversary of the publication of Donguibogam.

On the 27th, actor Jeon Gwang-ryeol attended the "Expo D-200 Days Commemoration, Successful Hosting County Residents' Resolution Rally" held at the Sancheong Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater, where he held the ambassador appointment ceremony while performing a success resolution performance with about 410 county residents gathered to commemorate the 410th anniversary of the publication of Donguibogam.

Appointed as the promotional ambassador, Jeon Gwang-ryeol began promoting the Expo by filming YouTube content titled "Jeon Gwang-ryeol’s Oriental Medicine! Experience Interview" at Donguibogam Village, the main venue of the Expo.

The Organizing Committee plans to edit the filmed videos into various formats such as 5-minute content and short clips, and promote them through various channels including the official Sancheong Expo YouTube channel "Sancheong TV," Instagram, and Facebook.

Promotional ambassador Jeon Gwang-ryeol said, "Playing the role in the drama Heo Jun left a good impression related to Donguibogam and oriental medicine, and I also received an honorary bachelor's degree in Korean medicine because of this drama," adding, "I am honored to become the promotional ambassador for the Sancheong Expo. I will take the lead in promoting the excellence of our Korean medicine to the world through a successful Expo."

County Governor Lee Seung-hwa said, "I am pleased to appoint Mr. Jeon Gwang-ryeol as the promotional ambassador and hope he will take the lead in promoting the Sancheong Expo," adding, "Like the famous line from the drama Heo Jun, I expect many visitors to flock to the Expo in September and shout 'Line up.'"

The health roadmap Expo that helps find happiness in life! The "Sancheong Expo," themed "Promise of the Future, Traditional Medicine in the World" and with the slogan "Life Oriental Medicine in Sancheong," is a government-approved international event jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Gyeongnam Province, and Sancheong County. It will be held for 35 days from September 15 to October 19 at Donguibogam Village in Sancheong, where the Korean chrysanthemum flowers bloom abundantly.
