Changwon Special City and Muhak Join Hands... Accelerate Promotion of Jinhae Gunhangje Festival Tourism

Mutual Cooperation with Muhak and Yi Chungmugong Seonyang Military Port Festival Committee

Muhak, a representative local company of Gyeongnam, is stepping up as a strong supporter for the promotion of the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, held for the first time in four years.

On the 2nd, Changwon City in Gyeongnam signed a win-win cooperation agreement with Muhak and the Yi Sun-sin Naval Festival Committee to revitalize tourism in Changwon, including the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival.

Muhak is a leading alcoholic beverage manufacturing and sales company in the southeastern region, located in Bongam-dong, Masanhoewon-gu, Changwon City. It operates the largest liquor museum in Korea, the ‘Good Day Museum,’ which attracts many tourists.

The Yi Sun-sin Naval Festival Committee is the organizing body of the 61st Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, held on the 24th, and the 2023 Jinhae Military Music and Arts Festival.

Through this agreement, the city, Muhak, and the Yi Sun-sin Naval Festival Committee have agreed to join forces for the successful hosting of the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, returning after four years.

Muhak plans to attach labels with the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival schedule to 2.3 million bottles of soju shipped this month and promote the festival through its social media (SNS) accounts.

Additionally, Muhak will set up a promotional booth at the festival site, offering experiences such as creating personalized soju labels and quiz events with prizes, providing enjoyable activities for tourists.

Jo Myung-rae, the second vice mayor, said, “We feel very reassured by joining hands for the successful hosting of the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival,” and added, “I hope this agreement will help brand Changwon’s representative festival as a national representative festival and a festival enjoyed by people worldwide.”
