Relay Donation from Changwon Chamber of Commerce Member Companies to Injured Firefighter

Starting with Sanghwa Dojang Development, 10 Companies Including Daeho Tech Participate

Companies affiliated with the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry continued a relay donation to firefighters injured by the typhoon.


Changwon Metropolitan City, Gyeongnam, announced on the 2nd at 3 p.m. in the reception room that a donation ceremony for the medical expenses of firefighters injured by Typhoon Hinnamnor last year was held.


On this day, representatives of companies affiliated with the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry who have donated so far gathered in one place, including Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Metropolitan City, Lee Nian-ho, CEO of Sanghwa Painting Development, and Jung Young-hwa, Chairman and CEO of Daehotech.

Relay Donation from Changwon Chamber of Commerce Member Companies to Injured Firefighter Gyeongnam Changwon Special City announced on the 2nd that a donation ceremony for the medical expenses of firefighters injured during Typhoon Hinnamnor last year was held.

Since November last year, companies affiliated with the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry have delivered a total of 30 million KRW through relay donations of 3 million KRW each to injured firefighters. Starting with Sanghwa Painting Development, ten companies including Hyundai BNG Steel, Youngjin Plastic, Unistar, SeAH Changwon Special Steel, Jinyang, Korea Steel, Boseong Development, Daegun Tech, and Daehotech participated in the donation of medical expenses. Daehotech, the last company in the relay donation, delivered the medical expenses to the injured firefighter.


The city organized this donation ceremony to express gratitude for the relay donations made by the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the injured employees so far.


Firefighter A, who was injured by Typhoon Hinnamnor in September last year, sustained a cervical spine injury when a tree fell from behind while removing a fallen tree by the roadside. Although unable to move independently due to the cervical spine injury, he is dedicating himself to rehabilitation treatment to recover.


Mayor Hong said, “I sincerely thank the companies affiliated with the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and various organizations for their kindness,” and added, “We will spare no effort to improve the working environment of firefighters who are doing their best at the scene for the safety of citizens and to support injured employees in various ways.”
