Gurye-gun Supplementary Budget Set at 391.7 Billion Won

Increase of 46.3 Billion Won Compared to the Initial Budget

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it has prepared the first supplementary budget proposal for 2023, increasing the original budget by 46.3 billion KRW, and submitted it to the county council.


The total scale of this supplementary budget is 391.7 billion KRW, a 13% increase compared to the original budget.


Of this, the general account increased by 46.3 billion KRW to 386.6 billion KRW, and the special account is 5.1 billion KRW.

Amid high inflation impacting the private economy, the budget was prepared with a focus on efficiency and feasibility of execution in line with the government’s policy to drive GDP growth by expanding the total fiscal volume.


According to this budget allocation policy, the increased budget by sector is as follows: ▲Culture and tourism sector received 13.8 billion KRW for projects such as building a performance hall in the Artist Village, expanding infrastructure at major tourist sites, and cultural heritage; ▲Welfare sector received 2.3 billion KRW for operating elderly living facilities and home care welfare facilities for the elderly; ▲Regional development sector received 6.6 billion KRW for small-scale public housing development and Baekryeon Culture Road construction; ▲Construction sector received 5.2 billion KRW for repairs of Sado Bridge and Gwangyong Bridge, and maintenance of hazardous sections on Local Road No. 865; ▲Agricultural policy sector received 2.8 billion KRW for supply of seedbed soil and purchase of forage for livestock farms; ▲Environment sector received 7.8 billion KRW for projects such as creating habitats for the Jirisan Asiatic black bear; ▲Economic sector received 700 million KRW for improving the business environment for small merchants and installing rain shelters at the 5-day market.


County Governor Kim Sun-ho said, “Once the first supplementary budget is confirmed, we will actively manage the budget to secure the dynamism of the local economy and strive to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of resources.”
