Incheon TP, Establishment and Demonstration Support of Internet of Things Test Field

Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) announced on the 2nd that it is recruiting institutions and companies to participate in the Internet of Things (IoT) test field construction and demonstration support project, in collaboration with the National IT Industry Promotion Agency and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority.

This project aims to build a test field in the Incheon Free Economic Zone area and provide demonstration resources (space, platform, data, infrastructure, etc.) and demonstration costs to help IoT-related companies such as SMEs, venture companies, and startups apply and verify products and new technologies nearing commercialization in real environments.

This year, up to 600 million KRW will be supported for building a test field to test IoT application technologies in disaster and safety fields such as industrial accidents and safety incidents, helping to identify and improve problems.

The IoT test fields are currently established in three locations: around the roads near Central Park in Songdo International City, Incheon National University Station, and the passenger terminal of Incheon International Airport, supporting various demonstrations by IoT companies.

The demonstration support project is divided into a demonstration resource matching type, which allows companies to use necessary demonstration resources for about six months, and a demonstration cost support type, which provides up to 40 million KRW in resources and costs to a single company.

An Incheon TP official stated, "This project is to provide various demonstration resources that companies find difficult to secure on their own," adding, "We will support continuous growth through technological advancement."
