Distribution of Promotional Guide Boards to Clinics, Pharmacies, and Dental Clinics

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 2nd that it is actively promoting the identification and support of vulnerable groups by producing promotional guide boards for welfare counseling centers operated by each autonomous district and distributing these guide boards to 7,004 medical institutions (clinics, pharmacies, dental clinics, etc.) within Seoul.

Meanwhile, the welfare counseling centers in the 25 autonomous districts received a total of 1,725 calls from September 30 of last year to the end of January this year, actively identifying and supporting residents in need through 276 cases of public benefit support (Basic Livelihood Security, Emergency Welfare, etc.) and 95 cases of private resource linkage (donations, etc.).

If you or a neighbor in crisis needs help, you can call the 120 Dasan Call Center and press 3 (Emergency Welfare, COVID-19, and General Administration) according to the guidance to be connected to the welfare counseling center of the respective autonomous district for consultation. You can also directly call the autonomous district’s welfare counseling center for consultation.

Kim Sang-han, Director of the Seoul Welfare Policy Office, said, “There are limits to identifying welfare blind spots through public sector efforts alone, so collaboration with the private sector is more important than anything else.” He added, “We thank the professional organizations in Seoul’s medical field for cooperating in distributing the welfare counseling center guide boards and the neighbors who have worked hard to identify residents in need.” He also stated, “In line with the city administration’s policy of accompanying the vulnerable, we will continue to do our best to ensure that not a single resident is left isolated.”
