Sacheon-si and Namhae-gun Promote Joint Development of Tourism Package Products

Sacheon City and Namhae County in Gyeongnam are joining forces to develop a tourism package product.

On the 2nd, it was announced that a Namhae County delegation consisting of Namhae County Governor Jang Chung-nam, Namhae County Council Chairman Im Tae-sik, and two others visited Sacheon City to strengthen friendly cooperation.

This visit continued as a meeting to discuss ways to coexist and prosper together as neighboring regions, attended by Mayor Park Dong-sik and City Council Chairman Yoon Hyung-geun.

A delegation from Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam, is visiting Sacheon City to discuss ways to achieve mutual growth together.

Governor Jang proposed jointly hosting a marathon event to enhance and utilize the symbolism of the Changseon-Samcheonpo Bridge, which serves as a bridge between Sacheon City and Namhae County. He also suggested co-hosting the Namhae Coastal Trail (Nampalanggil) Course 36 walking competition.

Additionally, he called for the development of a 1-night 2-day tourism package connecting major tourist attractions in both regions, not only to promote it jointly but also to foster a representative local travel product through brand marketing.

Furthermore, they agreed to discuss ways to integrate and operate group tourist attraction projects currently promoted by each local government, thereby strengthening mutual cooperation going forward.

Mayor Park said, “With the establishment of the Space Aviation Agency raising awareness and an expected increase in floating population, friendly cooperation with Namhae County will create a synergy effect for mutual development and tourism revitalization. I hope this opportunity will serve as a chance to build a continuous relationship between the two cities and counties.”
