Kabaeva's Luxurious 20-Room House in Sochi
Many Properties Also Registered Under Relatives Including Grandmother
Alina Kabaeva, known as the lover of Russian President Vladimir Putin, reportedly owns luxurious real estate across Russia, The Times reported on the 28th of last month (local time), citing the Russian anti-government website 'Proekt'.
Proekt raised suspicions that President Putin spent massive illegal funds to provide a lavish lifestyle to his lover, who is nicknamed the "uncrowned queen of Russia."

Among the properties owned by Kabaeva, a former Russian national rhythmic gymnastics champion, is the largest apartment in Russia?a penthouse in Sochi. As of 2011, this penthouse was valued at ?9 million (14.4 billion KRW). It overlooks the Black Sea and has 20 rooms. It is equipped with facilities such as a movie theater, billiard room, gallery, bar, and sauna.
Many properties are also registered under the names of Kabaeva's relatives. Her grandmother owns real estate worth a total of ?10 million, including a three-story mansion in an affluent area near Moscow.
Proekt also claims that President Putin ordered the construction of a wooden house next to his villa at Lake Valdai in northern Russia for Kabaeva and their children. Kabaeva and Putin reportedly have three or more children together.
The Valdai Lake villa, known as a cherished hideout of Putin, is said to have recently been equipped with an air defense system to protect against Ukrainian drone attacks. The Times revealed that photos of the villa's interior released by Proekt showed chandeliers decorated with rubies and gold leaf.
Putin has reigned as Russia's absolute ruler for 24 years, starting as Prime Minister in August 1999.
