"Don't Worry About Interview Suits! 'Dream Closet' Lends Them to You"

‘Dream Closet’, Youth Employment Suit Rental Service Project

Busan City will operate the ‘Dream Closet’ service, a free suit rental program for young job seekers in Busan, starting from the 1st.

This project provides free interview suits to young people preparing for employment, alleviating their financial burden and encouraging active job-seeking activities so they can confidently succeed in finding a job.

About 9,500 young job seekers used the service over the past year, maintaining a high satisfaction rate of over 98% for two consecutive years, as it offers practical support to youth preparing for employment.

Any young job seeker aged 15 to 34 who is registered as a resident of Busan or enrolled (including on leave) at a university located in Busan can use the service. They can rent interview suits (jackets, pants, skirts, shirts, blouses, etc.) and accessories (shoes, belts, ties, etc.) free of charge from professional suit rental companies.

Applications must be made through the Busan Job Information Network by signing up (switching to user mode) and selecting ‘Apply for Dream Closet’ to make a reservation in advance.

Applicants must provide their Worknet job seeker certification number to prove their job seeker status, attach documents verifying Busan residency and interview confirmation, and reserve the preferred rental company and visit date/time 1 to 2 days before the interview (by 6 p.m. on Friday for weekend rentals). Once the approval text message is received, they should visit the designated location on the scheduled date.

Each person can use the service up to five times per year, and for each use, the rented items must be returned to the rental location within a maximum of 3 nights and 4 days.

There are five rental locations in total (Parkland Yangjeong Branch, Gwangbok Branch, Deokcheon Branch, Lee & Tailor, and Coaching). After measuring the user’s body size, they provide coordination consulting, recommending suit colors, sizes, and designs that suit the user’s body type and workplace. On-site alteration services such as adjusting pant length are also available immediately.

Lee Yoon-jae, Director of the Youth Industry-Academia Division of Busan City, said, “With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic extending job-seeking periods, we hope Dream Closet can provide some help to young people struggling with employment preparation. The city will continue to make efforts through various youth policies to help young people settle in Busan and realize their dreams.”
