Busan Port Authority Supports Happiness Mailbox Hope Sharing Project

Busan Port Authority (BPA) supports the ‘Happiness Mailbox Hope Sharing Project’ by Busan Jung-gu Office.

The project allows residents facing difficulties in daily life to write their stories and put them into the Happiness Mailbox installed at Jung-gu Office, welfare centers, and community centers, where they receive counseling and practical assistance.

In 2021, BPA signed a business agreement with local governments and welfare centers to jointly address challenges in communities near the port through the ‘Visiting Social Contribution Project near the Port’ and has been supporting the Happiness Mailbox Hope Sharing Project. In 2021, 34 households and in 2022, 57 households received support such as daily necessities and medical expenses.

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, said, “The Happiness Mailbox Hope Sharing Project is providing practical help to vulnerable groups,” adding, “We will continue to communicate with communities near the port and take the lead in various win-win activities.”
