China has called for Russia and Ukraine to engage in "negotiations without preconditions."

According to the website of China's Permanent Mission to the United Nations on the 25th, Dai Bing, Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, stated on the 24th (local time) at a public meeting of the UN Security Council (UNSC) on the Ukraine issue held at the UN Headquarters in New York, "We urge Russia and Ukraine to resume negotiations without preconditions."


Deputy Permanent Representative Dai emphasized, "There are no winners in this conflict, and opening diplomatic negotiations is the only right way to resolve the Ukraine crisis," adding, "The international community must encourage dialogue and urge negotiations with the utmost urgency, while also making efforts to create conditions and provide platforms for the resumption of talks."


Earlier, on the 24th, marking the first anniversary of the outbreak of the Ukraine war, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a document titled "China's Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukraine Crisis," stating that "(Russia and Ukraine) should resume direct talks as soon as possible."
