Changwon Special City "Ride a Moving Boat on the Beautiful Yongji Lake"

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 24th that the moving boats at Yongji Lake Park, which had been suspended during the midwinter, will resume operation starting March 1.


The moving boats at Yongji Lake Park in Changwon are electric rechargeable boats that can move in the desired direction without rowing, accommodating up to 8 people. Changwon City has been operating them since 2017 through private investment.

The city temporarily suspended the operation of the moving boats from November to February due to the decrease in visitors caused by the winter cold, and during this period, conducted safety inspections and maintenance of the facilities.


As the cold weather has recently subsided and warm weather continues, attracting more visitors to Yongji Lake Park, the moving boats will welcome visitors again starting March 1.


The usage fee is 20,000 KRW for 30 minutes based on 4 people, with different rates depending on the number of passengers and duration. Pets are also allowed on board.


Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with closures on Mondays and Tuesdays.
