- After the exclusive 59 and 84㎡ types were fully contracted, some remaining exclusive 114㎡ types are now available on a first-come, first-served basis
- Scarcity increases due to the shortage of mid-to-large apartments in the Gyeonggi Gwangju area, boosting demand from buyers
It has been revealed that there is a severe shortage of medium-to-large apartments in Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province. Amid this, the Taeyoung Construction and Dongwon Development consortium is conducting a first-come, first-served sale of designated units for the 114㎡ medium-to-large apartment type in 'The Park Vista Desiang,' a private park development special project at Gyeonggi Gwangju Yeokdong Park.
According to data from real estate information company Real Estate R114, out of a total of 13,385 households that moved in over the past five years (2018?2022) in Gwangju City, only 185 apartments were medium-to-large types exceeding 85㎡ in exclusive area. This accounts for just 1.38% of the total.
Additionally, new supply during the same period was also low. Only 703 units, which is 5% of the total 13,889 units, were medium-to-large apartments exceeding 85㎡.
An industry insider stated, "Recently, the concept of home has expanded beyond just living to include work, leisure, and various activities, increasing the preference for medium-to-large apartments. However, in Gwangju, supply is severely lacking compared to demand, highlighting their rarity. Therefore, there is strong interest in The Park Vista Desiang, which is currently conducting a first-come, first-served sale of 114㎡ units."
Meanwhile, The Park Vista Desiang is a branded large complex being developed in the Yeokdong area of Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province, consisting of 18 buildings from 4 basement floors to 25 above-ground floors, with a total of 1,690 households of 59, 84, and 114㎡ exclusive areas. The 59㎡ and 84㎡ types were completely sold out during the earlier official contract and preliminary winner contract phases, and now the first-come, first-served contracts are being conducted for the remaining 114㎡ units left due to some disqualifications.
The 114㎡ type currently available for first-come, first-served sale features a luxurious kitchen design. The kitchen comes standard with a 3-burner gas cooktop, and when the balcony is extended, a kitchen TV, food waste dehydrator, and kitchen task lighting are all provided. Additionally, options allow for upgrading the kitchen walls and countertops to engineered stone for added elegance.
Other options include applying artificial reinforced stone flooring in the entrance, premium tile installation (walls and floors) in the common and master bathrooms, and built-in closet options for Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 to increase storage space, further enhancing the residential quality.
A sales official said, "The complex itself has many advantages, and customer satisfaction remains high. Especially, the location is highly praised for having both forest proximity and subway station access, which are currently attracting attention in the housing market. As a result, the remaining units are being quickly sold, raising expectations for contract completion."
The Park Vista Desiang is operating a model house, and move-in is scheduled for April 2026.
