Incheon Namdong-gu proudly introduces the ‘Namdong Dullegil’ in four installments. Namdong Dullegil is a walking tour course of about 33.5 km that connects six mountains including Mansusan, parks, rivers, and barrier-free sharing paths into one. Each course features Namdong-gu’s tourist attractions, from the Natural Monument No. 562 Jangsu-dong Ginkgo Tree to Sorae Wetland Ecological Park, Sorae Port, Shrimp Tower, Neulsolgil Sheep Ranch, and Youth Media Tower.
The ‘Sky Sea Road’ is a course overflowing with sights and activities.
First, it heads from Jangasan Barrier-Free Sharing Path to Sorae Wetland Ecological Park, famous as the largest ecological park in the metropolitan area. Here, visitors can enjoy the vast wetlands, salt warehouses, windmills, and other unique landscapes.
Sorae Wetland Ecological Park, a precious natural heritage of Namdong-gu, preserves the past and present of Incheon’s solar salt fields that are disappearing from our memories, while also being a natural treasure with a well-preserved marine ecosystem and a valuable resting place. Currently, based on the strong will of the local government, it is being promoted as the nation’s first designated urban park.
Exiting the park, you will find the fish market of Sorae Port, the representative fishing port of the metropolitan area, filled with the aroma of seasonal foods. Sorae Port is a gathering place where all seafood in the metropolitan area comes together and is famous as a tourist destination visited by over 10 million people annually.
At the traditional fish market of Sorae Port, you can experience the sea scent that stimulates the senses along with various seafood such as shrimp and blue crabs, and deeply flavored salted seafood. Walking along Haeoreum Square after leaving the fish market, you will come across the Shrimp Tower observatory, which offers a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Sorae Port.
Located at the old 5th pier, Shrimp Tower is a landmark of Sorae Port providing sightseeing attractions. Stepping away briefly from the sea and entering Neulsolgil Park, the sheep ranch welcomes tourists. It is a unique attraction that people of all ages feel compelled to visit at least once.
Next, leisurely walking along the cypress forest barrier-free sharing path while enjoying the forest scent, you will reach the Youth Media Tower soaring high into the sky.
