Hiring 4 Students Annually for Group Affiliates
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-sun] Gumi University (President Jeong Chang-joo) has signed an employment reservation agreement with Hyundai S-Life Group (CEO Lee Jin-soo) regarding industry-academia cooperation and employment support.
The signing ceremony held in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the Gumi University main building was attended by Shin Hye-kyung, Director of External Cooperation at Gumi University, and Hong Jin-ki, President of Hyundai S-Life, as representatives of both sides, along with related personnel including Son Ki-soo, Director of Student Welfare at Gumi University, Byun Ho-sung, General Manager of Hotel Inter-Burgo EXCO, and Kim Dong-joo, Director of Gumi La Vue Wedding Convention.
On this day, both parties signed an agreement on employment reservation and convenience provision through mutual cooperation in the hotel and wedding fields.
The employment reservation means that from this year, at least four Gumi University students annually will be supported for employment at Inter-Burgo EXCO Hotel and Gumi La Vue Wedding Convention, subsidiaries of Hyundai S-Life.

The convenience provision includes offering a 30% discount benefit when Gumi University faculty, staff, and students (including graduates) use hotel rooms and wedding halls, with other additional matters to be discussed.
Hong Jin-ki, President of Hyundai S-Life, said, “We are pleased to establish industry-academia cooperation with Gumi University, which produces excellent professionals,” and added, “We look forward to broadly expanding the areas of cooperation in the future.”
Shin Hye-kyung, Director of External Cooperation, responded, “The service business sector has high potential for continuous development, and we will strive to develop it into an industry-academia cooperation model suitable for the 4th Industrial Revolution era.”
Hyundai S-Life Group has subsidiaries including La Vue Wedding Convention, Inter-Burgo EXCO Hotel, Hyundai Funeral Services, Daegu Specialized Funeral Hall, Hwawon Yonsei Funeral Hall, Bareun Hospital Funeral Hall, Jeonju Citizens Funeral Culture Center, and Hyundai Cruise Tour.
