The KAIST Kim Jaechul AI Graduate School announced that the 4th cohort of the KAIST CAIO program currently recruiting will provide education and consulting on corporate AI adoption, including ChatGPT.
A KAIST official stated, "Learning ChatGPT at the corporate level has become essential, and if utilized well, it can significantly advance the capabilities of both companies and individuals. Additionally, the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) by companies has become a practical challenge." Accordingly, KAIST is conducting a program to train Chief AI Officers (CAIOs) who will plan and implement company-wide AI utilization for corporate AI adoption, including a specialized ChatGPT lecture by reinforcement learning expert Professor Lim Jaehwan as part of the curriculum.
Since April last year, the KAIST Kim Jaechul AI Graduate School has launched the country's first "CAIO (Chief AI Officer) program." Unlike previous executive programs, the CAIO program aims to cultivate leaders (CAIOs) capable of taking responsibility for corporate AI adoption and utilization through a well-structured, in-depth lecture curriculum and group assignments. The content covers the latest information on AI, including ChatGPT, and real-world applications across various industries, tailored to the trainees' level, resulting in very high educational achievement.
Lee Youngkyu, CEO of IT Space who participated in this program, said, "By joining the CAIO program, we conducted an AI project that learns and automatically classifies corporate card payment statements and remittance details from business partners. The AI was trained to verify whether numerous card payments made by the company were fraudulent and to classify them by purpose. We were able to receive consulting from the faculty on how this AI can be used in accounting, finance, or marketing."
Thanks to such high participation and enthusiastic response, the Kim Jaechul AI Graduate School is recruiting the 4th cohort and will begin full-scale lectures from Tuesday, March 14. Eligibility is mid-level managers and executives in companies, and applications are accepted until March 10.
This program not only offers in-depth lectures on world-class AI technologies and use cases by current KAIST Kim Jaechul AI Graduate School faculty to enable planning and execution of AI projects on-site but also provides close consulting for each participant by the instructors.
The curriculum includes foundational courses such as ChatGPT, computer vision, and natural language processing (NLP). Participants will also learn essential topics related to AI models, including generative models, reinforcement learning, time-series data prediction, and explainable AI (XAI). Furthermore, the program covers the latest AI application methods such as next-generation AI semiconductors, model compression, and graph neural networks, as well as broad and deep content on cutting-edge AI technologies like intelligent robotics and robust AI.
Additionally, Professor Jang Dongin, CEO of AiBB Lab and a tenured professor at KAIST Kim Jaechul AI Graduate School, Kim Younghan, CEO of Gauss Labs, and Professor Hwang Euijong from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, who worked at Google Research for five years, have incorporated real-world cases of AI adoption and utilization in companies into the lectures to enhance the program's completeness.
Besides lectures, group discussions and team projects are conducted. By providing group study sessions for Q&A and consulting on corporate AI adoption, the program is designed to facilitate practical networking and industry-academia collaboration.
The program starts on March 14 and runs for 11 weeks until May 25, with classes held every Tuesday and Friday from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the dedicated CAIO lecture room on the KAIST Dogok Campus in Seoul. The program capacity is around 50 participants, and applications are accepted until March 10. Admission applications and detailed information can be found on the KAIST Kim Jaechul AI Graduate School website.
