“We Will Strive to Make Mokpo Healthy for Citizens”
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Kim Seong-dae, the 26th president of the Mokpo City Sports Council in the 2nd elected term, held an inauguration ceremony and officially began his duties.
According to the Mokpo City Sports Council on the 23rd, the inauguration ceremony for Kim Seong-dae as president of the Mokpo City Sports Council was held the previous afternoon at the Art Wedding Convention, attended by about 300 people including Park Hong-ryul, mayor of Mokpo, Song Jin-ho, president of the Jeonnam Provincial Sports Council, city and county sports council presidents, and heads of sports organizations.
In his inaugural speech, President Kim said, "The National Sports Festival to be held this October will be a stepping stone for Mokpo to leap forward and a great driving force to establish itself as a sports mecca," adding, "I will actively communicate and cooperate with related organizations to lead a successful event."
He also emphasized, "The Mokpo City Sports Council will strive to create a Mokpo united through sports, a Mokpo where sportspeople are dignified, and a Mokpo where citizens are healthy," and "We will ensure that the Mokpo City Sports Council becomes a model nationwide, both in name and reality."
Former president of the Mokpo City Baseball Federation, President Kim currently serves as CEO of Namhae Sangsa, chairman of the Siseung Scholarship Foundation, and chairman of the Mokpo Topaki Volunteer Group.
