Busan Future Education Institute Leads the Way in 'Digital Transformation Education'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan Future Education Institute will hold the launch ceremony of the ‘Busan Future Education Institute Digital Education Teacher Support Group’ on the 24th to proactively respond to changes in the educational environment.

The event will take place at 3:30 PM on the day, with 150 teachers attending, including those involved in SW·AI education, digital-based teaching and learning platforms, and the metaverse teacher support group.

The support group was formed to understand the concerns of schools that teaching methods themselves must change to foster students' intellectual abilities such as creativity and analytical skills under the recent influence of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT, and to strengthen schools’ responsiveness to digital transformation education.

Prior to the launch ceremony, Professor Kwon Hyuk-cheol of Pusan National University, a top expert in the field of artificial intelligence, will give a lecture titled ‘ChatGPT in Education and Preparation.’ Following this, Kim Jae-won, CEO of ELICE, will deliver a lecture on ‘SW·AI Education and Computational Thinking.’

Choi Jae-yong, director of the Future Education Institute, said, “In the era of digital transformation, the educational environment will undergo rapid changes amid the evolving industrial structure,” adding, “This launch ceremony will serve as a starting point for on-site support that can cultivate creative thinking, digital capabilities, and communication skills in students who will live in the future.”

Busan Future Education Institute was the first in the nation to establish a metaverse platform space and published a ‘Metaverse Utilization Teacher Competition’ and a casebook of ‘Metaverse Utilization Classes’ for all schools. This year, it plans to support various related class innovations as well.
