The LPGA announced on the 22nd (Korean time) that Jeon In-ji, Lizette Salas, and Mariah Stackhouse (both from the United States) were selected as the three final nominees for the Velocity Global Impact Award.

This award was created to encourage players who have contributed to the development of golf and inspired others through social contributions outside the golf course. After winning the 2015 U.S. Women's Open held at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania, USA, Jeon In-ji donated $10,000, expressing her desire to give back to the community. In 2018, she established the 'Jeon In-ji Lancaster Country Club Scholarship Foundation' in the area where the tournament was held. She also donated 100 million won each to her alma mater, Korea University, in 2016 and 2018.

The winner will be decided by fan voting, which will continue until the 6th of next month. The winner will be announced on March 8, International Women's Day. The recipient can choose the beneficiary of a $100,000 fund provided by Velocity Global. The two runners-up will also donate $25,000 each in the same manner.
