Jeju and Southern Regions Rain or Snow... Seoul Metropolitan Area Fine Dust 'Bad'

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 22nd, from tonight until early the next morning, less than 5mm of rain or about 1cm of snow is expected in the southern parts of Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, Gyeongnam, and Jeju regions. Light rain or scattered snowflakes will also fall in northern Jeonbuk and southern Gyeongbuk.

The minimum temperature the next morning will range from -7°C to 4°C. The daytime maximum temperature will be between 6°C and 13°C, similar to the average temperature for this time of year. The expected minimum and maximum temperatures in major cities are ▲Seoul -2°C and 8°C ▲Incheon -2°C and 6°C ▲Daejeon -3°C and 10°C ▲Gwangju 0°C and 11°C ▲Daegu 0°C and 12°C ▲Ulsan 2°C and 12°C ▲Busan 4°C and 13°C.

Fine dust levels in the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, and Jeonbuk will be poor the next day. Due to the influence of a high-pressure system, the atmosphere will be stagnant, causing fine dust to accumulate. At night, fine dust levels in Gangwon Yeongseo, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk are also expected to be poor.

Currently, dry weather warnings have been issued for Gangwon Yeongdong, Seoul, Gyeonggi's Gapyeong, Seongnam, Guri, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk's Gumi and Pohang. Even in areas without dry weather warnings, the atmosphere is dry, so caution is advised to prevent fires.
