HiteJinro Launches 5 Organic Wines from 'La Conreria Discalada'

Spain Priorat's Leading Organic Wine Producer Winery

HiteJinro announced on the 22nd that it will launch five types of organic wines from ‘La Conreria d’Scala Dei,’ a winery representing the premium wine-producing region of Priorat in Spain.

Established in 1997, the organic-specialized winery ‘La Conreria d’Scala Dei’ owns the largest eco-friendly vineyard in the Priorat region of Spain. Grapes are organically cultivated in different ways depending on various altitudes, locations, and soils. All grapes are hand-harvested, and the winery is known for fermenting by individual plots. The representative wines of La Conreria d’Scala Dei are made from grapes of vines over 100 years old, characterized by a unique balance of power and smoothness. The newly launched products include three red wines such as ‘Les Burgu?res Negre’ and two white wines such as ‘Les Burgu?res Blanc.’

Les Burgu?res Negre is a red wine made by blending 70% aged for 10 months in 300L oak barrels and 30% aged in stainless steel. It features an explosively fruity aroma and impressively harmonious woody flavors. On the palate, it is light, smooth, and has an excellent finish.

Les Burgu?res Blanc is a white wine made by low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel, followed by an additional 9 months of aging using the Sur-lie method, which matures the wine with dead yeast. It has a pale yellow color and balanced acidity. The flavor is characterized by tropical fruits and apricot that fill the mouth.

The five types of La Conreria d’Scala Dei wines will be sold through Hyundai Department Store (Mokdong, Cheonho, Pangyo, Sinchon branches), Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch, and others.
