[Asia Economy Reporter Bora Lee] The dog trainer under police investigation for forced molestation has been identified as Lee Chan-jong, director of Isak Dog Training Center, who claims that "no inappropriate incident occurred."

On the 19th, the Osan Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that they are investigating a famous dog trainer on charges of repeatedly sexually harassing and molesting assistant trainer A. The accuser, an assistant trainer, alleged that from July 2021 to February last year, A repeatedly sexually harassed and molested her, including touching her thigh inside a car.

On the 21st, Director Lee issued a statement through a law firm, saying, "First of all, I sincerely apologize and feel deeply sorry for causing social controversy. Apart from actively responding to the malicious false accusations, I sincerely apologize for causing concern to many people. I will reflect on myself and take time for self-restraint."

He continued, "However, after July 2021, when the alleged molestation occurred, A did not raise any issues or demand an apology even once for more than a year and a half. A worked as a team leader at the pet center where Lee Chan-jong served as vice president, and after being disciplined as a perpetrator of workplace harassment, suddenly made such false accusations," he claimed.

He added, "While it is true that some conversations could have been misunderstood, I clearly state that there was no physical contact or sexual molestation toward female A. We are actively responding to the malicious accusations and preparing to file a counterclaim for false accusation against A," he explained.

Furthermore, he said, "I sincerely apologize to trainer Kang Hyung-wook, who was wrongly misunderstood because of me. If there are any trainers who have been harmed because of me, I also sincerely apologize. I hope this incident does not cause harm to those who love and dedicate themselves to pets," he apologized.

Lee Chan-jong is a dog trainer who became famous through appearances on SBS's 'Animal Farm' and other programs. After reports surfaced on the 19th that a famous dog trainer under police investigation appeared on broadcasts, rumors spread that the individual was trainer Kang Hyung-wook. In response, Kang Hyung-wook actively denied the rumors through social media (SNS), stating that it was not him.
