SPC Group's Paris Baguette announced on the 21st that it has hired 20 young talents as interns at its North America branch through the '2023 Overseas Employment Linked Program' conducted in collaboration with Woosong Information College.

Since 2018, over 100 participants have joined this program over six years, and since last year, the program has been expanded to allow students who complete the internship course to be employed as full-time employees at the local branch. Currently, eight students have been officially hired.

Paris Baguette's franchise stores in the United States recently surpassed 100 locations. This year, they plan to open about 60 new stores and aim to contract more than 160 stores, with expansion into Canada also underway. With the growth of the North American business, they plan to continuously expand the scale of local hiring of domestic young talents through industry-academia cooperation.

Darren Tipton, CEO of Paris Baguette North America Division, said, "With the rapid growth of the North American business, it is important to stably recruit excellent personnel. The linked program with Korean universities has been a great help, and we plan to more than double the number of official hires this year."

To help students settle stably in the different environment of the United States, Paris Baguette provides tailored local education including baking and pastry training, language education, global cross-cultural education, and business manners. Scholarships are also awarded to all students who are finally selected for the Paris Baguette internship program in the U.S.

Students nurtured as global talents work as bakers at local Paris Baguette stores in the U.S. for one year, and upon completion of the internship, they have the opportunity to be hired as regular employees at the local branch.

An SPC official said, "We provide global employment opportunities to young Korean talents, and the company can stably operate excellent personnel needed for overseas business growth. The local evaluation and satisfaction of young Korean talents are high, so we will actively continue to expand hiring and create global jobs."
